Transcriptomics of kidney allograft pathologies

In collaboration with the Department of Nephrology (Bern University Hospital), we are investigating the use of trancriptomics in kidney biopsies to detect and differentiate gene expression alterations related to different allograft pathologies, including adverse effects of immunosuppressant therapies. In addition, our investigations aim to identify genes and pathways involved in pathologic processes, and thus gain an improved understanding of their underlying mechanisms.
